A Legacy of Craftsmanship Since 1990
Northern Pines Taxidermy began in 1990 with just one passionate taxidermist—Steve DeVaney—working out of a modest 800-square-foot shop. Fueled by a deep love for the outdoors, hunting, and fishing, Steve turned his passion into a profession, offering high-quality taxidermy work to share the beauty of wildlife with others.
Over the years, Steve’s talent and dedication have earned him recognition at both the state and world level, competing in and winning numerous competitions. His commitment to excellence laid the foundation for what Northern Pines has become today.
From One to Many: Growing with Purpose
In 1997, Steve expanded his work to include wholesale services for other taxidermists across Michigan—a move that marked the beginning of a growing legacy. As word spread, so did the demand. Today, Northern Pines Wholesale Rugs serves clients nationwide, with a skilled and dedicated team of 15 employees operating out of 13,000+ square feet of workshop space.
